The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God reaches out to all people in need of spiritual guidance and restoration, and the church does not discriminate. Regardless of one’s background, the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God believes that everyone is capable of changing for the better. Church members have undergone tremendous transformations and are passionate about sharing their experience and the good news of deliverance, family restoration, and salvation.

If you’re reading this and considering The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God as a place to find spiritual guidance and assistance with issues in your life, you’re in the right place. As a global ministry that has been growing for more than four decades, those who join the congregation are able to call upon pastors and volunteers who’ve built upon a system that’s designed to deliver daily assistance. This is what The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God offers to this day, but it’s important to understand the roots of the founding, too.

The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God is a non-denominational, evangelical ministry with more than 8 million members all across the world. After God called him to leave his job and start a new ministry, Pastor Edir Macedo answered this call and started The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God on July 9, 1977. Pastor Edir Macedo is a man of unshakeable faith, and he persisted even when challenges arose. For example, the initial services took place at a bandstand in the Garden of Meier in Rio de Janeiro because the church did not have enough resources.

From these humble beginnings, the church quickly grew as others learned about it by multiple testimonials. The church’s first building was a former funeral home in the neighborhood of Abolição. Then The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God purchased and remodeled a former furniture warehouse that could seat up to 2,000 people. It also expanded to all states in Brazil and to other countries, including the United States and Mexico. Today, The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God has a presence in South America, North America, Europe, and Africa. The church is open 365 days a year, and pastors are available to counsel anyone in spiritual need. Individuals can also call the church’s helpline for additional assistance.

In this blog, we will write about the latest news regarding the church, real-life transformations, the church’s global outreach programs, and more. We encourage you to visit this website often to learn more about The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God locations in your area, our expanded services and ways that lives are being improved. For these reasons and more, the future of The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God has never looked brighter.
